If you click below, you will be transferred to Mapquest. New hwy. 16 has been completed and is not on many GPS devices
yet. If you are coming south from Newton-Conover go past the Hwy. 150 exit and the next left is
St. James Church Rd. and it is poorly marked. Turn left onto St James Church Rd. and the next stoplight is old hwy.
16. Turn right and then left at the second stoplight, this will be Webbs Rd. The turn is at the CVS Pharmacy
If
you are coming north from Charlotte, go past the Hwy. 73 exit and the next right is Optimist Club Rd. Turn right, cross the
railroad tracks, and come to a stop sign at Triangle Cr. Turn left and the next light is Old Hwy 16. Turn left and then right
at the second stoplight which is Webbs Rd. Turn before you pass the CVS Pharmacy. Turn Right onto Webbs Rd.
Go
1.5 miles to Little Fork Cove Rd. (Left Turn only.) and turn left. This is at the end of a long stone wall past the entrance
to Norman Pointe.
Go .5 miles and the sign for the Blue Heron is on the left.
Pull into one of the
parking pads, it is much easier to get out if you back into the parking pad.
If you are in the area stop in to
visit. We are .5 mi. at 4339 Little Fork Cove on the left (the lake side of the road.)
If you are coming from
the Lake, head for Little Creek Access off of marker 13. Pass the Access Area on your left or port side and at the end of
the cove is the Lincoln County water intake structure; it looks like a silo on the water. Our dock is a left turn from in
front of the intake. You will see the rock arch under the kitchen.
